It will make a change. Although I enjoyed my little part-time job, I needed to find a proper way to support my boy. Currently I'm in Turkey where a degree is not essential but it gets you a better paying job. No, it's not as easy as living in the USA or other more developed countries.

I was also under the impression that teachers were required to have verifiable qualifications to TEACH spoken English. also, i liked that they provided teacher workshops.
Then, if they decide to meet you, the mind of the interviewer is generally made up within the first 2 minutes.
But, if you do a google search you will find tons of people asking about them. ESL Certification Issues. I still suggest that you not discount Canada, especially the province of Quebec because they could really use someone with your qualifications and experience.

if they spent that much time and money on just that they can't be all bad! so they must do something right. They get teachers to their location on false pretenses, then because you can't afford to leave, they generally get to make money off of you for at least a few months before you bolt. Living by the beach is one of my dreams.
By the time they've become interested, that will be irrelevant, and when it comes to talking about it, elegantly joke.
