FALL 2006: THE REVIEWS
Turn Up the Heat - Giorgio Armani, D&G, Salvatore Ferragamo
Designers raised the temperature in more ways than one for fall, showing tailored looks that had a steamy undercurrent or cozy knits just right for a snow day.
Those Who Think Young - Blugirl, Mila Schon, Byblos, Debora Sinibaldi
Designers were playing with young ideas and looks for fall -- at their best when rendered with a fresh sophistication.
The Power of Color - Giles, Jonathan Saunders, Nicole Farhi
As the London collections continued, certain designers were using jewel tones, sometimes in bold combinations, while others relied on the force of neutrals, such as pairings of black and gray, to make an impact.
The Illustrated News
Designers both fledgling and established stretched their creative wings with well-crafted fare that's about dressing up, not down.
